My wife and I have had the pleasure if dining here twice, so far. The first night we took our chances as walk-ins (we got there early!) and were pleasantly surprised to be shown right to a table. I don't suspect this will always be the case. This Friday night, we had another great dinner there. Rest assured that the sound "problem" is no more. Cleverly and stylishly disguised sound panels on the walls meant that carrying on a conversation in a packed restaurant is not an issue. And it was packed. To be honest, I don't recall hearing anything from any other table. I guess that means we were making the most noise?! Friendly and flexible, the proprietor managed to accommodate a short notice addition to our reservation. It was one of our most enjoyable dinners out in a very long time. If you are contemplating visiting the Back Lane Cafe, do so. You won't be disappointed. ..More Reviews
