Sushi Kanata Inc

Food was terrible here. My husband suffered GI distress after ordering the sushi platter, and the fish was not fresh. I would not recommend this place at all.

I work near this restaurant and I've had the chance to see thier kitchen from the back door. First of all their kitchen is filthy. Pots have so much caked on grease that they are black. Thier backsplash matches thier pots and is caked on with grease. Their freezer is coated in grease as well and is stained orange (it should be white). And just to add they smoke in their kitchen. GROSS. I've never been inside the restaurant but just by the look of their kitchen I would never eat there. I'm amazed people have no gotten sick yet.

Basically exactly what Ceppo said. Do yourself a favor and try the Spicey Tuna Tempra Roll. OMG its amazing. Best piece of sushi I have ever eaten. I've been to Vancouver, Toronto and Tampa for Sushi.. Kanata Sushi is one of THE best. Tight cold rolls that are well presented. I've eatten there nearly 100 times or so and i've never had an issue with the food. Ever.

Beware - got terrible food poisoning there. Two of us dined on the sushi and tempura and suffered gastrointestinal distress. The fish was not fresh and should not have been served. Service was slow and not attentive. Expensive. Better options downtown for Japanese food.

Sushi is okay. Not as good as I thought. But is still acceptable.

Fantastic Sushi. If you are unsure.. try the Orange Peel Chicken.. I could eat it every day and it doesn't come with any fish at all. If you are a little more adventurous but not quite ready for the serious stuff, try the Spicy Shrimp Roll, or the BBQ Eel Roll. Both are cooked.. both are delicious. For the sushi lover, they offer fantastic food and a widely varied menu.

Definitely try the Green Dragon roll and the special spicy rolls are wonderful too.
